The following text wasn’t written by me but is a press release from Yoogames. Don’t worry guys, I’m coming with a bunch of article.

Sometime a game can help you recovery from a heart attack, it can help you find love or get you fired.

But it can also help you catch burglars.

Recently a young kid was victims of a Home invasion whiles playing is favorite game on yoogame.

Police responded to a 911 call about a possible burglary in progress in the city of Morgantown, Indiana USA at late night of March 12 2012. A kid, whose identity is kept confidential because of is age, was playing a browser game operated by YooGames.com.

The young kid told with is online buddy that at 11h40 pm someone was trying to break in is house. Some player immediately took action to keep the child calm, asking him what he liked and what he favorite animal. Meanwhile a former cyber crimes agents who happen to be a forum moderator asked the ip address of the child and with it was able to have the address of the child home. He contacted the police at 11h43 and with nearby surveillance cameras the police was able to record the intruders.

The police apprehended 1 of the 3 suspect with the information they were able to get.They are still looking for the 2 other suspects, but are confident that they will find them.

 
Yoogames is a popular browser game site famous for their quick-responding and thoughtful
customer service. Though in this case a Yoogames admin provided the IP address of the player
and probably saved his life, note that all user data are highly confidential and classified at Yoogames, and this was an exceptional case that they gave the address.

DDtank server merge

Yesterday (march 13) DDtank merged the server 1 and the server 2

Three Kingdom Online U25, U26 & U27 Server Merge

There is a merge of 6 server into 3 utlimate server. I’m not on any of these server though.
Here the detail:

19:00 Mar. 21th to 19:00 22th Mar. (PDT)
S50, S52 -> Ultimate Server 25
S51, S53 -> Ultimate Server 26
U12, U18 -> Ultimate Server 27

If you are merging go check their forum thread explaining the merge, it pretty much the same as other merge but it always good to remember what happening.

L5, L7 and L10 are almost done, while we don’t have a hard date, Koram is asking for suggestion on how to do the merge.

I think Merging all 3 servers into 1 its bad, having many characters in the same server is very annoying to do specially with the new koram start page. Some players are stuck with 3 and more different character they need to switch.
Instead of merging everybody in 1 server, create 3 new L servers with different maps (one with 6, one with 8 one with 3) and kingdoms for each account ID to pick. This will allows players to split up their IDs into different kingdoms and reduce the pain of account switching.
So from that perspective I think the best option is the last one (option 4) have 3 new server and legion can change server.
So go give your opinion you have until march 15th 11h59PM PST.

Clash of Kingdoms

And there a new update called The Might of the Sages that’s coming up that look really interesting, here a extract from the mail I received :

Duel System
The Hero Duel System is a new PVP feature, it can be launched in any Arena or World battles, and displays as a duel between two heroes. The closer the attributes are the better chance of a dual happening.
In the Duel System, heroes can release the newly added ability – Skills. The effects are similar to abilities, can be sorted as Active, Passive, Attack, Defensive and Buff etc.
Corresponding to the Duel System, there are new Gears and Abilities which will be pushed out in this new version, players will gain more experience from this new game feature!

Terrain System
There are 7 terrains added to Battlefield which can give players a brand new experience. Each terrain offers buffs to different types of troops. It can affect attack, defense, critical strike damage and rates, and dodge.
The 7 terrains are Grassland, Solid Ground, Desert, Tundra, Forest, Mud, Hills.

School System
The School is a place where players can teach and study new abilities autonomously. Players’ heroes can learn all abilities besides the exclusive hero abilities, and will be able to learn the new types of abilities including: Increasing exclusive troops’ attack and defense, Increasing strike, Increasing dodge, Decreasing abilities damage, additional terrain bonuses and Reducing food consumption etc.
Players with 10,000 or more development and a little silver can create their own Schools in the Academy on the City interface, players can also apply to join others’ School, but every player can only join in one school at the same time.
Players who created the school can select any of his/her heroes enter the school to become the teacher. When school reaches to level 3 or above, players who are students can also select any of their heroes enter the school to study.
Teachers can get Insight by teaching, and students can get Insight by studying. When their Insight reaches a certain level, players can select a specialty for their heroes to learn.
Literary Talent: Can increase the success rate of insight specialty. Can increase the daily limit of Advice. Can increase the success rate in Challenge.
Military Genius: Can choose more skills if a hero have more Military Genius. Can increase the daily limit of Challenge. Can increase the success rate in Challenge.
A school’s level depends on teaching and studying activities in the school.
Players are able to drop out of a school. Players can be removed from the school if 3 or more players choose to banish them, and their heroes will be also removed

1000 ad server finish this Saturday (March,10 2012) Be ready if you want to try a new server. I was to late in the last server so I stopped playing to restart once the server reopen…

Has I was searching a  good hockey manager and I stumble upon Cyber puck.
Cyber puck is a hockey manager game, where you can take care of a team or manage the career of up to 5 players.

The goal of cyberpuck is simple, if you don’t pay money all you need to do is to take care of 5 player, you have to find them a team where to play, train team, instruct them tactic to do in the game, buy them equipment etc.

Creating a player.

You can create up to 5 player, with cyberpoint you can create more player or buy inactive player so you can have a bigger pool of player to manage.
It’s really up to you to create what position you player will play and what it’s speciality (wrist shot, slqp shot etc) however keep in mind that a team usually have 3-4 line so they need around 9 forward (3 of each) and 6 defenseman and only 2 goaler. So don’t over create goalers, one or even 0 is enough.
Once your player is created assign him to a team to earn money.
Don’t forget to go in the tactic to setup your player tactic in game.

Training and buying you player stuff

Contrary to SHL training is done on a player level and you need to hire a personal trainer to each player. Each trainer boost different ability, pick a trainer that boosts the primary or secondary attribute that your player need. 

You can buy equipment to boost your player attribute has well, there 3 kind of equipment you can equip stick, skate and helmet. What funny is that equipment can give you bonus unrelated to the equipment like a helmet can increase your wrists shoot ability…

Having a team

I haven’t been able to have a team yet since you need to pay 1000 cyberpoint to buy a team and only have 200 for now.
Once I get there I’ll make a post about it

Cyberpoint : what it give and how to get them

With cyber point you can do a bunch of stuff like the following.

Buy a team

The only way to have a team is to buy a team with point, so keep your point to get your team 🙂

Boost your player

Increase you player ability by using cyberpoint it accelerates the player development.

Create new player and increase player limit

If you want to hire more player and create them you need cyberpoint for that too.

Create equipment

If you want to boost specific ability use, you can create an equipment that boost those exact abilities for your player by using some cyberpoint.

Buy a inactive player

when people stop playing you can buy their player, someone actually did that to me, I wasn’t very happy to rebuild from scratch my players.

How to get Cyberpoint ?

You can get cyberpoint by logging everyday, referring the game to your friend, making blog post about the game and by buying them.

Overall cyberpuck has some really good idea but the site it self is kind of clumsy Flow of the game Is not really intuitive and I was somewhat lost when started playing.
Like, for some reason sometime the game sent you back to your player list when all you want it to continue what you’re doing (like buying equipment)
Or when you buy equipment, you need to buy then click back (which do not work on chrome) then go to inventory then equip it. Instead of equipping the item directly…

Even if the navigation is hard, you will probably like cyberpuck anyway if you a hockey fan. However I’m not sure you will like it if you don’t know squat about hockey.

We finally had our servers merge recently, one year of waiting Finally paid off or so I though….

For a bit of history I’m from server 14, we got wacked on our first merge and then we waited 1 year and 3 month before being merged again. I almost stop playing but the idea of a merge brought me back to life, I was prepared, I even reread my guide and Koram guide.

It might took us more than a year before being merged, but It took 3 fucking days for the server to be finish and now we are back to sim city for another year. We’re still in the adjustment period and the server is over….

I couldn’t even attack to help because I moved my troop too late, so I could only send support and watch my brother lose there capital in agony.
Sure they’re the multi-server that make sense to keep playing but I don’t want to wait another year…

I think the servers merge seriously need to be rethink, the idea is good but they’re too much stuff that kind of get in the way and it’s kind of boring that we waited a year for that and it took like 3 days.
At least our initial Tiamat S14 vs KE s20 (not sure the server no) took around a week but that was pretty fast too.
I’ll try to think of something that could be done to have a decent merge and post it in the suggestion forum.

My Story from the merge of server U5 (S14 & S20)

Koram guide

King of the Hill is series of battles between leagues to occupy and hold different locations for a specified period of time. It is the only way to receive the kingdom tax (regional and national) and other prize.

• King of the Hill lasts for 30 minutes for both regional and national wars.
• Regional War: Starts every Saturday at 10:00-10:30 (PST)
• National War: Starts every Sunday at 19:00-19:30 (PST)
• The first attack may be sent out at exactly 10:00 and 19:00 respectively
• NPCs will defend the city first. When the NPCs are destroyed, players will defend the city.
• Players from opposing leagues will attack each other.  (Does not matter if the league is a "sister league")
• Players from the same league will help defend each other.
• King of the Hill is where players can receive a tax license.
• Capitals are defended with units that have the high defence.  Units that have a lower defence rating than your main defence unit already defending the capital will be sent back to your city.

Other thing they forgot :

– The time provided here is not always true, they sometime change the time to accommodate players who cannot play in those hours.

– Troop deployed to a King of the Hill target (KoTH) will take the same amount of to reach the city, you troop speed, heroes ability and upgrade have no influence on the time. However you state location have an influence on how much time it will take to arrive at destination. It for minute if you are in the same region (north, east, west, south) than the capital and 8 if you are outside.  here how north, east, west, south is separated :

– Regional KOTH targets can hold up to 2,000 player defending units. National KOTH targets can hold up to 5,000 Player defending units.
– They are 6 prizes per city in the regional and 9 for the national war.
note that only the following player that achieves the following goal will receives a revenue license (tax) (among other prize).

Master of Marching: Player who occupies the target city for the longest time.
Lord of Slayer: Player who have the most Kill
Lord of War: Given randomly to any player who occupied the KOTH city during the event.

On revenue license (tax permit) : Regional war give the tax permission for your region and national war give it to the whole server. When you have it you need to chose a league to tax.
You get a lot of resources when you use it , it always depends on which league your tax but it always a decent amount my lowest was around 150k of each resources and highest 500K-600k.

Tips and tactical note:

I noticed player knock out the troop then leave to prevent lost, so that mean you can always try to send from you sub and you might be able to grab a city (this happen specially in the regional)
Just by occupying the city you can get the lord of war so it might worth it.
I haven’t really try any fancy tactic, most of the time there not much players that are doing it any way since for some of us its during office hour or in the middle of the night.
Most of the time if you’re in the top league you’ll end up hitting your own sister league or supporting your league member if you arrive late, so try not to be late.

However if you have a huge force it can help you get kill and become Lord of slayer, then withdraw your troop to prevent lost.
