Rotten tangerine (iOS & android)

I came across a really nice indie mobile game, it’s called Rotten tangerine, it’s available on android and iphone.

The goal is to prevent your tangerine to go bad, by tapping on the rotten one good tangerine will appear. However, sometime monsters appear and they will attack you tangerine to make them rot.

Worm is back

I usually don’t review pc game but I was surprise that they’re a new worm game coming, on pc & console. It’s call worm revolution, here the video footage :

It’s look good, they used a new graphic engine and added 3d. This one will definitely go on my wish list.

Epic sax game

I don’t know what to say about this game, it almost could go in a bad game review but it’s too original to do so. From indie game :

“In Epic Sax Game, players attempt to replicate Epic Sax Guy’s solo using six keyboard keys. After practicing, you can record a studio version and join a jam session before attempting the toughest challenge of all: a ten-hour YouTube video, performed live.”

Well I tried it and let say it music is not my strength but it’s definitely fun to try but I won’t take my chance on the 10 hours jam …

It’s seem that a lot of movies get some small game, Evacu 8 is the lastest game you can found on the Super 8 movie web site (gonnabemint.com)

It has an old retro look (which is cool), it is very hard and have abysmal control.

I honestly I couldn’t get to score more than 500 point at some point there a bus and I can dodge it, because if I go forward a rock fall on my head. But once I go the control I managed to get 1500. I don’t know if there an ending but I think the game cannot finish like asteroid were you have to spend 3 days to beat the high score.

I haven’t see the movie yet but it’s already in theaters.

I reviewed a Thor flash game when the movie Thor came out and someone told me that actually made a game like this for the new movie Captain America:The First Avenger in theatres in July 22 in the US (29 in the UK, check the release date here for the date in your country).

Like I say, I try to avoid the web site of a movie before I see it just in case there some spoiler on the site. I made an exception with Captain America I watched the trailer (Oh !! No !!) and tried the game.

Like Thors game Hammer of the gods and the concept is quite simple, you have to throws Captain America shield at Nazi (instead of Frost giant) to kill them.

While the game it’s not that bad for a game that you play 15 minutes then you’re done. They made a good improvement for the controls, it much more easier to throw the shield than it was to throw the hammer in the other game. Like the Thor game, you have to click on the mouse then move it back (toward Captain America) to set the power of the throw.

When you complete a stage you unlock picture of the character of the movie if you complete the stage with only 2 throws or less.

I hope the Movie is even better and I hope to see it when it goes out.

I can across a game that looked good but the controls are so abysmal that I say arrrg lets just forget about it.

The name of that game is Dragon conquest and our quest for dragon supremacy start here at max game.

There 2 mode the conquest mode you customize your dragon and you after go in each region to fight other dragon. I don’t know what happen when you win since I never won a fight in that mode, but each day (try) the dragon in the regions get tougher and you don’t, so once you get beaten you must stop playing, pretty stupid I say.

There the arcade mode were you get a dragon and you pick a dragon to fight, this one the dragons can be actually beaten, I managed to win but once you won there nothing you just go back to the title screen.

You see the bar at the top left corner you have a cursor moving in all the bar and it has to land in the black zone give a successful hit. The bar is moving so fast that is actually hard to land it there.

If you value life don’t try this game is pretty bad…

I watched the movie Thor this week and I loved it, so out of curiosity I wanted to check the web site. I try to never check the web site before actually see the movie just in case there some spoiler.

Something you got a urge to torture someone, the torture chamber succeed at torturing you.

It’s start with some bad midi and a suggestive title screen…

The concept is simple, you need to the guy until is health go to 0, you get point each time you inflict pain so the longer you torture the subject the more point you get.

The control are simple :

It’s ”q” and  “w” to increase and decrease the gravity

“a” and “s” to increase and decrease temperature

And “z” and “x” to move the room wall to squash you subject.

If you succeed on causing enough pain you might get a cool pain rank !

If you want to inflict yourself some pain go play that game, that probably where the game get it’s name.

The game is simple: do nothing…

Really !!  Thats what Idle. is about, doing nothing. You even level up after waiting for awhile…

This week  in bad game friday it’s actually more of a weird game friday.
I came across a funny game recently on http://www.indiegames.com called osada which I don’t know if we can really label it game since it more about making music with what you got on the screen.

It’s more about founding what to click and making music along the way some jamming are pretty neat and funny sometime you just have no clue of what happening and click everywhere.

The game is pretty click (about 30 minutes) and you’ll probably just play it once.
But for the heck of it it will be a weird and fun ½ of your life that you will never see back 🙂

It’s late and it’s friday, so that mean it’s drunken bad game friday unedited version. 

I found a nice game yesterday, it’s not that bad actually it’s called Cycle Blob.

Made out of the fresh of webgl cycle blob bring out actually 2 cool thing :

• 3d ! (yeah)
• drunken driving

You might notice that the title look like it come from the 80s, don’t worry that the only thing that from the 80s. The control does feel liek way older though.

The game is simple your are sent to space to race against up to 3 other bike (cycle) around a blob (like the name). Now you know where the name came from… You bike is not a ordinary bike, instead of toxic fume of CO2, a kind of blue trace come out of your bike when your moving. This trace (probably something toxic) can block you opponent et destroy is bike.

So the goal of the game is to run around a blog and try to block others with your toxic blue sh*t. Be careful though, you blue trace can kill you too.

It’s really hard to control but it’s actually enjoyable to play, nice concept with webgl. No end game, just no stop racing with other cars.

I know that it’s not such a bad game but it’s not a good one…

Nice concept and idea but that’s it…

This is pretty much worst than last week game. Graphic are weird and control are even weirder. Snake tamer don’t have a lot to offer.

You are a snake tamer who gonna control an army a snake and attack village and steal their food. Wait not really, it even more boring… you have to feed a snake an apple and you have to use your flute to guide him to the apple.

If you hit the wall you lose and if you grab a apple you win. That’s it !!!
