I’ve been trying Lord of Ultima recently and to be honest I’m impress to the level of details and polishes the game have compare to the other title I’ve played.

The game removed some annoyance the other game of the genre have, like your default building queue can actually hold 6 items instead of 2 and you can move around the other of the 5 item waiting in the queue. This feature remove a bit of the time sucking ability of these kind of game usually have.

You can build city guard with no impact your number of soldiers you can have, though they an only stay in your city they give defensive player and more casual player little more option to be competitive.

Each building and terrain complement each other, making you go “Sh*t ! why did I put my sawmill there” and give you a real sense that your building your city.

There are too much resource though, there the classic wood/stone/iron/food from travian (TKO and tirbal war too) and there gold and mana. I never got the understand how to use mana though so for now it’s always full and with gold I can currently only buy mage…

On the minus side there are so much stuff to do and to track that I just don’t know what to build sometime. Like right now I have to much iron and I bought to many ranger so I have to level up my barrack and training ground to be able to recruit guardian instead.

So far, that what I’ve noticed. I haven’t try to plunder or attack something yet. More comment and tips on the game to come.

I started to play Lord of Ultima.

My first impression is that the game have a nice finish that other similar game don’t have, and the concept of having to place you build in other to optimize there production is nice.

The site is not acquiring a lot of visitor recently so I decided to try new theme on it, so expect the site to change from day to day.
I’ll probably create a twitter account to have some follower come in and interact more directly.

It’s seem that a lot of player are extremely aggressive when it comes to farming. Sometime they do hit abusively and attack poor souls that are actually playing. While plundering is at the essence of the game they’re usually way to plunder and still not ruin everybody fun.

Here a few tips to plunder like a gentlemen

1. First send a message to the guy you want to plunder just to check if the’re still active
2. if there is no response after 3 day or 1 week you can now plunder him
3. If the user haven’t grow for a while (one week at least) you might start earlier but it’s always better to send a message before
4. if the player come back and send you a mail, stop and even offer him some support.
5. If there have a population lower than 50 the previous point doesn’t apply. Its really easy to have at least 150-200 of population within the end of beginner protection, so if they come complain about your attacks, tell them to go play another server.

I just came across this article about Zynga CEO that knew he was scamming user on mafia war and farmville but didn’t care at the time. The article was written in october 2009 and you can see the evolution of fix and ban that zynga have got for there game since the article from techcrunch.

The best part is probably the quote from the zynga ceo found in this article.

There a lot of game that use to have these stupids offers, I never bothered to check them except when it was just an offer that say “check that website”, you click and then got the money.

Scamville: The Social Gaming Ecosystem Of Hell

I came across a make over of the super mario bros game a while ago, it’s call super mario crossover from Exploding Rabbit.

You probably already founded it but if you don`t you should try it here. I must tell you that it’s really hard to play on a keyboard. I really need to found my gamepad somewhere.

My favorite character so far is simon with is double jump and is axe that destroy bricks. Mario look really boring compare to the other caracter … 😛

For those who had tried which character is your favorite ?

There a survey on Koramgame forum about if the Emperor’s Road should still be in the game and how to make it more accessible.

Personaly I haven’t be able to grab a state capital or else give a shot at the emperor road. The main problem I see from the two server I’ve played it’s that usally a strong league came up, then when the empreor road start they grab most of the state capital and then attack the other league to grab the other state capital. Once that’s done on of there member who willing to put a lot of cash into gold acheive the rank of generalissimo and grab luo yang, and then the whole league concentrate on helping him build the imperal palace and clearing the other league that remain alive.

Note that the feature is cool but maybe it should be more accesible.
