Jelly Mario

I’ve kind of like remake of the classic Super Mario Bros. There’s the crossover with other character from your favorite video game, there’s Mario with the portal gun  and many more, I’ve told you he’s everywhere.

This time it’s what happen if the mushroom kingdom is turned into jelly… Jelly Mario Bros.

It in alpha and I managed to finish the first stage, the control are a bit hard but it’s still nice to see our good old Mario in a new way.

Let me know if you liked it and tell me what your favorite mario (remake & official game) 😀

Super mario 3 – a new journey

Mario

You want to relive the good for the nes with some new Mario action. You’re in luck with A new path for super mario 3 – a new journey.

You need to have the super mario 3 rom and patch it, all the instructions are in the following link.

Once you’re done play the patched rom on the emulator of your choice and have fun

Other Super Mario – Super Mario on the Amiga.

Titled as Other Super Mario, this early project was started because the developer has always wanted Mario on the Amiga. Sadly as it’s just a project there is only a 1 level demo, there’s no game over sequence and the jumping is very floaty. As for if this is going to be a full project taking most of his time, this looks to be unlikely especially as he had said he may just add the odd level over time. For further details, see the discussion link here.

Super Mario Bros CPC

Unless you were living in a cave, many of you will remember the classic game that is ‘ Super Mario Bros ‘, that was produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and released by that famous company Nintendo in the late 80’s for the NES. It is an incredible platformer that has had many sequels and spin offs on different systems, ranging from the NES all the way up to the very modern console, the Wii U. Yet today a fan by the name of GinBlog82 has announced the latest update to the 80’s classic, over to the Amstrad CPC.

Note: This is a kind of mashup of all the recent Mario news I’ve found on IndieRetroNews, so you can go there to give them some love.

A bit of “Nestalgia”

I’m having a bit of nostalgia right now with that video of all nes games screen, my god most of the time the sound is awful but I just love when it hit a game I know / played. Note it’s all in alphabetical order and it almost 3hr.

Notable one Castlevania at 0:22:38, Dragon Warrior/Quest 0:40:25, Final Fantasy 0:49:04, Legend of Zelda 1:22:45,Mega man 1:30:01, Metroid 1:32:00 and our favorite plumber at 2:19:55)

It seem that Nintendo have some bad rap for maybe buying material that were extracted by slave.

It’s not that nintendo it’s actually doing it but they are not denying it either.

A petition was formed to seeks assurances that Nintendo hardware doesn’t use slave-mined minerals, which can arrive on the global market from troubled regions such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, in any of its hardware.

The Human rights organisation Walk Free made a video and a flash game at http://www.slaveryisnotagame.com/ to draw attention to the issue.
